Knock/Brosna Claim Division 5 Title
Brosna / Knock completed there Division 5 campaign Sponsored By Billy Kissane Meats with a win over Austin Stacks B team on Monday night. Brosna / Knock started strongly with a hat rick of early goals from Holly Forest. Clodagh Murphy and Chloe Leahy had the upper hand in midfield and the home team kept the scoreboard ticking over for the remainder of the first quarter.
The second quarter was a more even contest with the home half back line of Emily O Keeffe, Sadhbh Cahill and Amy O Sullivan being put under alot more pressure but playing with great certainty and helped by the solid full back line of Lauren Collins, Clodagh Brosnan and Eileen Cotter.
The third quarter showed some clinical shooting by Amy Mangan and Molly Barrett. Zara and Olivia Collins worked hard all night and were a constant threat. Further scores from Amy O Sullivan and Sadhbh Cahill stretched the home sided lead.
The fourth quarter was played with the home team holding pocession for long periods. Very solid performances from Brídín Hickey in goals with a clean sheet.
Ellie Buckley in the forwards and Kate Lenihan in the backs helped Brosna / Knock to a comfortable victory.
Amy O Sullivan accepted the cup on behalf of the home team.
